We had a lovely Christmas Day. I made pancakes for breakfast with fruit, yoghurt and maple syrup, and they were scrumptious, but three each fair filled us up, so nothing more until the meal at 5pm.
After breakfast, we opened presents - Archie got SO much stuff (nothing from us, but don’t tell him that). And we were throughly spoiled too.
Then Archie and I took Uncle A’s Christmas lunch over to him about midday. He usually comes to us every year, but I thought it best not to do that this time. Archie was very excited to be there, and started barking as soon as we went in the gate. I let him go, and he went charging along the corridor, barking, and scratched at Uncle A’s door before he had it opened.
Instead, Hazel our neighbour (our bubble) joined us later, as she has no family nearby. She came about 4pm, and left at 11pm, so it was a fun visit. JR had spent the day before ‘dressing’ the table - it was gorgeous, complete with candles, scattered wee silver stars and fairy lights. Roast turkey and all the trimmings, followed by pavlova. Yum yum!
Here’s Archie looking pretty pleased with his presents from Elizabeth.
