Franky's 6th.

Today it is our first Grandchild Franky's 6th birthday. Always a difficult day to make special at the best of times, adding Covid into the mix makes it even harder.

Jodie has done a wonderful job making the day special and one to remember. We watched him open his presents via FaceTime at 7.30am. Various activities throughout the day - A Piñata, which I'm sure the boys LOVED beating the hell out of!

At 1pm we gathered, masked and socially distanced for an Ice cream van to arrive playing  'Happy Birthday'. Collage as extra showing how this child cannot keep still! It was strange seeing his Grandparents and parents standing apart in the cold wearing masks. Could we have even envisaged this 12 months ago?

After we'd gone home to thaw out Jodie got the paddling pool out (filled with warm water) and they played for a long time splashing and running and sliding into it (Brrrrr). Then a movie snuggled up in front of the log burning stove. Think popcorn was involved as we'd bought them a popcorn machine for Christmas.

I think as far as 6th Birthday's go, this was a good one!

Now watching what's become a traditional at Christmas time - The Sound of Music, the most perfect film ever!
