Someone is feeling sorry for herself

I rang the vetinary hospital at 8am to be told that Amber had had a good night and was asked to ring at 11am with a view to collecting her at 12. By 10 am they had rung back saying that they were so busy and needed her cage. Would we come now? Sounds like the NHS, more patients than beds. 

The fact that I was still in my pj’s and we hadn’t had breakfast was irrelevant!!! 

The vet spoke to us as we were about to leave the car park.. She had just finished her shift at 11am, having worked all night and been due to finish at 9am. Shows how busy they had been. 

Amber was so excited and pleased to see us, but quickly ran out of steam. She is enjoying her diet of rice and white fish, just complaining that she is not getting very much. Her tummy is still sore and has to be treated with caution.
