Kilmahew Woods

A wintery walk up Carman hill through the woods and on to Kilmahew Castle . We took the long road home by Carniedrouth farm, before walking back down through Auchensail to the village. The water was cascading onto the footpath in several places so we got rather muddy.
I was walking with my friend Pat - I was in school with her and it is lovely that she now lives in Cardross. Long chats and easy understanding of each other.
After lunch it was nearly 3pm and getting dark.
There was a heavy sleaty snow shower while we were walking. Exhilarating and beautiful- and the hills were white in the distance. See extra.
