Since I first heard of Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA in 2007, I knew I wanted to try it. I always would try at the Flying Saucer but after three "got there too late" situations, I wondered if this beer was going to become my "whale." Like Captain Ahab, getting close enough to see it but not getting a drink.

Two years ago I started getting wind of humors that they would occasionally ship them to stores locally. It would take two misses at local stores, until last month when my friend Bailie (who works part-time at Central Market) sent me a message she had some. I told her I'd be there as soon as I got off work. At $10 a bottle, I bought two. One to wait a month or so to drink, one to age for a year.

This paycheck we're staying in the next two weeks because of a insurance renewal we have to pay, so tonight's gift to myself is this beer.

Btw, I had it at the Saucer a week after I bought the bottles. It's considered 15-20%ABV. It's amazing. Try it, age it, love it.
