Sagrada Familia

Today we went to the Cathedral. Work began in the 13th century and it's not due to be finished until 2018! IThe building is vast and covered in gargoyles and other stone creatures - I think you could visit it 1000 times over and see something different every time. It's bizarre and eccentric and inexplicably huge! We went up to the base of one of the towers, where we had amazing views across the city. These are the stairs to come back down - pretty steep.

We then took a trip to Park Guell where we did a bit of sunbathing, beer drinking and eating baguettes. Lots of Gaudi stuff in the park and a Japanese wedding party - the bride was in a full merangue dress but when she hitched up her skirts to go up some stairs she had thick black leggings on and bright red socks. It was boiling!

After much wandering for the rest of the afternoon along La Rambla, we had a few hours chilling out on our patio / back yard / building site before heading out for some tapas and drinking. Jo got hammered on seniorita beater (Spanish equivalent to Stella) and ended up sqwarking at everyone in Welsh until she passed out in a bar and we had to carry her home. That was just before she flattened a blind lady who got in her way as she lurched towards the pub where she ate a cigarette she found on the bar.

Sal did some of her dares, one of which was to get sex advice from a married couple - the advice was "One squirt a week". She also had to do her 'ant and dec' dance everytime we shouted lets get ready to rumble. V good and funny night.
