"We're feeling a bit deflated after Christmas"

I'm sure that a lot of people agree with those sentiments!

This morning I felt the urge to do something a bit more normal after Christmas so I made a new batch of muesli and some soup then this afternoon went for a walk from home.

There had been no snow here but I could see a light dusting on the hills.
I passed a pair of pied wagtails pecking at the mud in the flooded castle field and saw three clumps of snowdrops in bud in the Garden of Remembrance.  The blip of the day was the sight of these characters lying on the front lawn of a house that I passed.
