On the road again

Awake at 6, both up and ready to leave by 7.30, car was iced up but didnt take too much scraping.

As we joined the M56 the snow started to fall quite steadily......arrived at the hospital 8.15, dropped hub off then went to the car park to wait for his call to give me the nod to head home once his session started, it takes 4-6 hours. Call didnt come until just about 10. Drove back home, via the town centre to pick up some more milk. Have switched to whole milk and butter for hub to build him up.

Home by 11, made myself a coffee, then set about making some chicken & vegetable soup.
Followed by a leisurely shower, hair wash, blow dry and clothes change....felt better after that :-)

Hub called to say he would be done by 1.30, sooner than we thought, so I was on the road again by 1.10 to get there for 2. He had to go to the pharmacy to collect various meds. Sat waiting on the car park until he rang to say he was at the pick up point..... he was absolutely bushed when I picked him up, he'd walked 750 steps, carrying his rucksack and two carrier bags full of med, following a 3 hour chemo infusion, well done that man! He soon recovered once he got in the car. So far so good in terms of how hes feeling, just tired, which is to be expected.

Back home by 3.30....its 30miles each way to the hospital, so thats 120 today, plus 60 yesterday! We dont have any more appointments until 11 Jan thank goodness!
I took todays blip quickly on my phone at some traffic lights in Didsbury as I was heading home this morning.......it had just stopped snowing.

Spent most of the afternoon sorting out his meds, injections, putting reminders on my phone, updating our calendar, and feeding hub with tea and cakes! I had my lunch at 3.30 lol!

Not sure what we are having, for dinner, just wait to see what hub fancies........currently watching Darts on tv, hub finds it easy to watch, not too much concentration required.

Think we will be in bed early tonight after our 6.30 alarm.
