Feeding time

After I got in yesterday it started raining, then it snowed a bit and then it froze solid (quite rapidly by the clarity of the footprints).
After lunch we decided to go for a walk but couldn't get to the lane for the amount of ice before the start where the horses churn up the mud. Instead we walked very cautiously along the road and down to the ponds (the muddiest section wasn't frozen!) where there was a family feeding the birds. We then went onto the golf course which was also covered with a thin layer of ice but okay with care. There was proper snow on the hills but we didn't go there today. 
The rest of the day I finished the jigsaw, started a new knitting project and even did some housework
