A Proper Day Off for Us

The bathroom assault does not begin again in earnest until 8:30 a.m. tomorrow.
We (the 3 cats and me) are enjoying a proper rest with peace and quiet and birdsong outdoors. Just had to open a bedroom window where the bird feeder lives outside. None are visiting with us now but Gracie T-t keeps a sharp lookout for them just in case... until she gets bored. then she'll pop outdoors to listen for her arch enemies, the voles, who are making suspicious noises under the compost bin and out further in the woodpile where she will sit for hours at a time waiting and watching for the action to begin. She does not catch them and does not know how to kill them. She seems to think they are live toys like her indoor toy mice. She just pats them with her overly large paws and annoys them a lot.
