The West Side Garden
Although we have about 50% of the snow melted (down to about 2 feet) and shrunken, it remains pristine and unstepped upon in nearly all of the gardens.
One of the cats has ventured out to the raised bed (buried) for a call of nature leaving his footprints behind.
We got a brief blizzard this afternoon that dusted everything once again. I am happy to see how the ornamental grasses have retained colour and their upright structure through this winter. Once the snow melts down to the soil level I shall walk out in the mud and clip those grasses to the ground. That will allow the new blades to arise.
These are some of the very best plants to grow in the garden.
