Not this year

We usually spend New Year with S and M, taking turns, one year at our house and one year with them in Yorkshire. We always make a special effort to dress up and have very good food and drink. Of course we can’t do that this year so we’ll just do FaceTime and have a drink. We have decided on margaritas - to start with.

We were due to get snow but it didn’t materialise which is unusual - not unusual for BBC weather to be wrong now they don’t use the MET. Mr C and I had a walk on the moor. The track was frozen ice and slippy does we didn’t go as far as we’d usually go. We are going to meet Katy and Colin tomorrow - we are allowed to walk with one other person so I’ll walk with Katy and Mr C and Colin can walk at a suitable distance behind, like consorts.

I made a collage of some of the previous years - a nice memory and hopefully next year we can get together again.

It’s been particularly good blipping this year. All the warmth and encouragement from all over the world, the shared experiences and information. Thinking of those lucky New Zealanders who will be joyfully bringing in 2021 with family and friends.
