Views over the Solway

A cold icy morning here . I drove to Castle Corner and met a friend Julie. We did a 6 mile walk which took us through Castle Woods to Caerlaverock Castle , then up Wardlaw hill to the woods .We were rewarded with great views over the Solway to the Lake District. We then took a different path down to Blackshaw and back along the coastal path back to the car park.
The snowy mountains looked like they are floating in the air. It reminded me of views in the Himalayas.

I had a chat to my son after he finished work today . He’s been getting a lot of bad headaches since getting Covid at the start of December. He is working in respiratory medicine, as a junior Dr.
I feel for all front line staff who are under such enormous pressure trying to care for sick patients.
I hope & pray things improve soon.
