Story of a quilt

Visiting L this afternoon, I commented on the quilt keeping her knees warm. She is finding it increasingly difficult to remember day to day things - where things are, how things work - but she spoke confidently about the holiday some years ago when she bought this quilt.

Its label reveals it was number 535 of 5000 one meter quilts that were made and then auctioned in aid of Alzheimers research. They were displayed in 2012 on the Hampden Park football ground in Glasgow. That must have been an amazing sight.
