Perfect day

Started the day with a frosty 5 miler with my running buddies. Great to enjoy a crisp, clear morning with 5 friends. Then home and a long dog walk with Jonny, the kids and my friends two labs. Frozen puddles and large patches of water kept the kids entertained...skidding and cracking the ice.

Quickly packed some bags, and to Staithes...one of our favourite coastal towns. We booked a last minute Air B&B - a beautiful cottage. We struck very lucky!

A walk on the beach, 2 rounds of family trivial pursuits, wood burner on, Disney film (Soul) and a platter of yummy food....before a quick zoom with family and then boom, goodbye 2020.

A perfect New Year's Eve.

2020 has been horrific for many but we've been blessed with escaping the worst of it. Friends and family have stayed healthy, jobs in tact and living where we do made lockdown easier. But, I'm glad to see the back of it and hope 2021 brings us all back together (literally).
