New year......#16 same old bird!

Happy New Year my fellow blippers, lets hope its a good one after the dreadful year that was 2020! We slept in a little, having been woken with a start at midnight, not heard so many fireworks in a long long time!

Breakfast in bed as usual......today saw the start of an additional injection for 5 days. On opening the pack I could see the syringe was different to the other ones Ive been giving hub. I inadvertently triggered a safety sheath, before Id removed the rubber bung and given the injection! It covered the exposed needle for safety reasons, but also rendered it useless.... .grrrrr!! I spoke to thr District Nurses who advised I need to get a prescription from our GP for another one on Monday as the last of the 5 is Tuesday morning. No one told me that they were different :-( Now hub wants the DN to call to administer the other 4 :-/

We watched ET this morning......I remember the first time I watched it with my mum dad & sis, balled my eyes out!! Might have shed a tiny tear this morning too ;-)

I popped to the shop, still pretty icy underfoot., I treated hub to an iced coffee & he wanted some Horlicks, can't stand the stuff, will have to hold my nose when I make it lol!

After lunch we face timed hubs sis and BiL, followed by my sis & BiL ......to wish them a Happy New Year. We have already caught up with the children.

I noticed Mr Blackbird was rummaging around beneath the shrubs in the raised border whilst I was making a brew this morning, so a quick blip of him, again. Think he was looking for morsels that werent frozen .....hope he found something!

Roast ham, roast potatoes and mixed vegetables for dinner this evening, then footy, my team are on tv tonight.

An uneventful and quiet first day of 2021....
