Seed

13yo and I got the New Year underway with a walk down to the nature reserve.

It was a couple of degrees warmer, the ground had thawed a little and the ice on the pond was breaking up. A Grey Heron was eyeing up the patches of open water (extra). 

The feeders were busy: Blackbird, Dunnock, Robin, Nuthatch, Blue, Great and Coal Tit as well as this female Bullfinch enjoying the seed table. 

A gentle way to start 2021.  Happy New Year everyone.
