Happy New Year!

 It was quiet here.  The snow didn't materialise. 

By the time we set out for our walk, the frost had gone and the path had  been churned to a quagmire by those who had preceeded us. it was rather a dull slog through the woods.

But as we were heading home, we suddenly spotted a strange glow in the western sky. The sun had emerged just in time to set. So it's not always true that the early bird catches the worm..........
