Frozen

It has barely got above freezing today.   I keep looking at my poor plants in the garden and hoping that most will survive this prolonged cold spell.

L suggested a walk along the canal path to the Stables, so we took the car to the town centre car park to give us a good starting point.  A bit slippy in places and not everyone was allowing for us oldies who need to take our time (a wee bit scared of landing on my bum).  A couple of close encounters with bikes and dog walkers but generally a good walk.  The whole canal was frozen - quite thick in places.  The poor swans and ducks only had tiny little pockets to swim in. I'm not sure if these are branches which have fallen from the trees or perhaps thrown for some enthusiastic dogs!
