Sailing on thin ice
An interrupted night.....downstairs making a cuppa at 3.30, hub fancied some biscuits ;-)
Woke up properly around 8.30, got ourselves together after a breakfast of cornflakes, toast & jam. Downstairs in good time for the District Nurse arriving to give hub his second jab....another really nice girl, she wasnt impressed with the icy conditions of our drive, no gritters nor through traffic in our little cul de sac :-/
We've had a bit of an emotional wobble today, so took ourselves out in the car for an hour to get some fresh air. Collected 2 coffees and 2 bacon rolls from Costa, then drove to the canal and parked up for half an hour. I got out to take a few shots of the frozen marina...... this shot shows how icy the conditions were.
We stopped off at daughters on the way home to collect some fresh bread rolls she had picked up for us. By the time we were back home the skies looked really grey & laddered, sure enough it started to snow quite heavily again! Thankfully it didnt last for more than 15 minutes!
Hubs feeling a bit grotty today, the after effects of the latest chemo I'm guessing :-/
His appetite isnt great but he is eating. I made some pea & ham soup earlier, we have just had a bowl each.....hope,to tempt him with something else a bit later on!
We are watching the darts on tv again, easy to watch, doesnt require much concentration, but is entertaining.
Hopefully a good nights sleep tonight and another day post chemo will see hub feeling a bit better.
Stay safe all
