Whoopers

Today's the day ………………………. for a fly-past

I saw these swans today when I was out for a walk - but I heard them first.

The power lines that came between me and them, make them look like notes on a musical stave - which is very appropriate because they were making such a racket as they flew inland for a spot of feeding.  But it's such a joyful, carefree sound that I wouldn't be without it for the world.

It also reminds me that we haven't been to see the whoopers at the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust at Caerlaverock yet.  That will be a treat for another day …………………...
