Stirring It Up - Lentil Soup

50 minutes on the mat this morning with a view of last night's newly fallen snow.  Later I delved into Nigel Slater's Christmas Chronicles for his Spiced Red Lentil soup recipe - just the thing for a wintery day.  And I might have been inspired by Val McDermid's "Cooking the Books" which I'd been watching on youtube.   We've got to give Hamish's Hipster Porridge a go!  Spoiler alert - I had DCI Karen Pirie's new beau Hamish MacKenzie down for the murder in Broken Ground but so did she!!!
