Lucky Day

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon yesterday. We’d spent most of the morning getting a new camera put in the Enzophone!

The Sparrow also needed to get the gears adjusted on her bike, but all the bike shops in Toowoomba were closed. It was Saturday. In a lot of Queensland country towns the concept of weekend shopping still hasn’t arrived.

Back at the caravan park, another grey nomad came over to chat to the folks about Ziggy, seems he was looking to get a van the same. It turned out he was a retired cycle mechanic who used to run ‘Tour de France cycling holidays’! They spent ages talking about France.

Being a top bloke he offered to take a quick look at the Sparrows bike, twiddled a couple of things and now the gears work like new.
