Nullarbor Road Sign

This road sign must only exist in the Australian outback. Where else could wild camels, wombats and kangaroos be road hazards?

The Nullarbor is a long stretch of desert highway forming the southern connection between West Australia and South Australia. The name comes from the early French explorers, meaning ‘no trees’.

Crossing the Nullarbor involves about 15 hours of mostly straight driving. We did it over three days. We’re in South Australia now.
