Me and my Shadow
It was a cold morning again with ice covering the car.Mike went down to the shop to get some rolls and came back with Hot cross buns which we enjoyed toasted with lots of butter.
We decided to see if we could have a beach walk today and although there were still lots of cars parked along the front there was plenty of room in the carpark and most people were around the cafe so easy to avoid.Plenty of space on the beach so we enjoyed a really nice walk in the sun. We would have walked further but the tide was coming in and I was not sure if the top path was open as trees had come down and a land slip had happened a few weeks ago. We managed to get past both the rocks that can block your way , waiting for a gap in the waves.
We watched a pair of stonechats and a little Robin picking off insects as people walked and disturbed the ground.
Back home for hot chocolate and then we listened to The Boy, the mole, the fox and the horse read by the author. Excellent and I recommend it , it’s beautifully read with lovely sounds and music. Mike brought me the book at the start of lockdown. https://session.bbc.co.uk/session?ptrt=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bbc.co.uk%2Fsounds%2Fplay%2Fm000r630&context=iplayerradio&userOrigin=sounds
In the evening a complete contrast as we watched the film Joker.
A clear evening so I wrapped up warm and stood outside looking for meteors , no luck but Orion was showing nicely and you could see the belt clearly.A nice moon above the Firth as well :)
