Taking It Away, Aylesford

My very last day of freedom so just had to make the short trip to the village to have a take away pint in the rain! The bridge over the Medway is Norman in origin and the "alcoves" (two of which can be seen in the image - along with one of the pub signs) are normally frequented by fellow drinkers but due to the rain me and my brother were tucked under one of the eves of the pub supping our beer. It was all rather atmospheric, if a bit cold and very damp. The landlord of the pub is trying his very best to survive and serve the local community so I think he should be given a massive thumbs up.
