Milestone

I'd love to know how this milestone came to be partly embedded in the wall of my neighbour's property, but I'm glad that it has been preserved.  There are a few relics of a bygone age on the street, including vintage paving on part of the pavement a bit closer to the centre, but not much is left.  In fact, this neighbour's family used to own our land when it was part of their fruit farm.  All changes . . .
