Late Half-Pipe

That could be Navy-speak for Cocktail Hour, or something (they use a pipe (whistle) to announce events to the ship's company), but it's really the quite large BMX and skateboard half-pipes in the St Neots Riverside Park.  The Park is very pleasant, but it was quite soggy today, not so much riverside as river in some parts – impossible to walk the paths in places without making soggy one's footwear.

There was a range of ages, mostly boys, and all were enjoying the last of the sunshine, the challenges of the ramps and platforms and the general cameraderie.  We need more of this sort of thing: a public amenity enjoyed without undue rivalry or animosity.

And no one minded an old bloke snapping away beside them for a few minutes.
