Holly and Ivy

L3 Day 16. Took down all my Christmas cards and decorations today . Interesting to note very few with any reference to birth of Jesus Christ. The first Christmas printed cards were sent in 1843 by Henry Cole who was the founding director of the V&A. His card was also published and offered for sale at a shilling, expensive at the time. His card depicts three generations of his family raising a toast!

This is one of my favourites that we were sent this year!
I wonder what Holly and Ivy would have thought if they knew their photo would be used on a Christmas card!
