Today was the day for the first swim.  We went to Little Kaiteriteri beach which is about 45minutes from home but the sand is golden and the water green unlike our side of the bay.  We took our picnic lunch and read our books and people watched and importantly got into the water.  
Back at home todays instalment of the hens is as follows: Hens listen to cricket test.  Much clucking when New Zealand win the second test with Pakistan by an innings and 176 runs.
It took a lot of bread to get them near the blanket and they certainly wouldn't go it.
