This may be the cleverest Flutterby

In the extra is the caterpillar that crawled into position last week when the golden orb blessed us with heat and light. The bug settled then slowly morphed into the green chrysalis over the past 48 hours. During the process the caterpillar shucked off its' head covering. 
We do not attribute much intelligence to some creatures but this clever little thing, or "thang" as the 'Murrikans say, has parked up beside the cat flap; where birds fear to tread.
