For A Brief Spell
Timing in photography, they say, is everything. It had been a dull day, but the forecast showed sun/cloud, or was it cloud/sun, for the last hour, and so I waited. Reluctant to put off my foray any longer I went anyway and before too long a bright patch in the sky began to clear as the sun fought its way through.
I felt a slight panic, not wishing to miss the opportunity, and not really having a shot to hand. I liked the snow covered log and wanted to feature it, my difficulty was the foreground branches and mass of reeds surrounding it. I figure the log has the most contrast in the scene and will attract attention anyway.
