Kilner Jars

I was given some Spongs (the spotty liquorice allsort) for my birthday in a Kilner jar.

A Kilner jar is a rubber-sealed, screw-topped jar used for the storage of food, which was invented by the Kilner family.

They are very popular again. I have my sour dough starter growing in one. There is something very pleasing about the clip top ones.

It is a month since my birthday and I still have some Spongs left.
