Teasels

Very cold and misty here all day today, making it very atmospheric too. Nothing really stirring and the temperature hovering around 0 degrees or just below.
Really nice to be out walking and the lanes were very quiet before we headed across fields and then returning home for Christmas cake and a pot of tea.
All the hedgerows still covered in frost and the ground underfoot quite hard as where it had been churned up by walkers and horses it had become uneven was now frozen hard.
I was hoping to catch the teasels against the light as a silhouette but should have realised they would be frost covered lol. Will just have to return when they have thawed out.
Chatted to friends on the way back and talked amongst other things about the events in the US. Scary!
