Flower Friday . . . Shasta Daisies

These grew in stones at the top of the path all by themselves.  They must have blown up from the clump I planted further down the path.  This is looking down the side of my house.  This afternoon we entertained friends from Rotorua.  They bravely have been on a caravan holiday with their three children.  The forester gave them peas and potatoes from the garden to cook up for tea.
While they were here a cat from another neighbour stalked the hens and caused them to huddled in a corner of their area and the little black hen jumped up to sit on the fence.  Alex grabbed the cat and then I dumped it over the fence.  Usually the hens have a dog living at home but he is boarding away this week.  The hens took along time to come back out.  It is not a not very good picture of them gathering at the steps to my place.  We have a gate in the fence between our sections.  The text today reads: Hens seek asylum with neighbours after being stalked by Finnegan the cat.
