The Little Bulb That Could

During the summer, my friends and I dug up the front flower bed and replanted it with an assortment of bushes. During this excavation, I found a bunch of bulbs that hadn't been able to grow because of all the junk and weeds that ran rampant. I saved all of the bulbs in a flower pot and forgot to plan them this winter. Today, I found I had missed a bulb! It sprung up against the house and pushed the flower bed liner and mulch away. On top of that, the bulb is sidewise and barely covered in dirt! I will have to take special care of this to make sure it survives.

My fighting bulb! I can't wait to see if it flowers and what it will be!
