Normally on Fridays I would purchase bread, croissants for weekend breakfast, cheese, fruit and vegetables, possibly tea, coffee, dried fruit, nuts, olives or pulses - ALL on this same location. I, and others felt safer in the open air and not having to brave enclosed shops. The petition to re-open has exceeded 6000 signatures, there's a Twitter storm including tweets from a legal-eagle claiming the council have breached law. But the council are stubborn despite other county markets under the same health and safety regulator remaining open. The Christmas crowds have vanished, streets deserted and the vulnerable, elderly and those shopping for the shielders are denied a safer place to shop. Adds to the stress.
I suppose I get exercise cycling all around the city instead.
Stay warm and safe everyone.
