Walking in a Winter Wanderland
The heavy snow held off this morning so I managed a chilly swim with a friend in beautiful, peaceful surroundings, with snow falling on us.
There was just enough water need the reservoir wall for a swim, heading a little further out it was slush, which looked rather like little jellyfish, then a shelf of ice.
Thermometer readings varied between 0.02 and 1.5 degrees, we swam for around 6 minutes, then layered up and headed home.
The kids have worked really hard all week and as they don't even get a walk to the bus stop or to school, I really wanted them to get out today having not left the house since Monday.
The snow did a better job of persuading then to have a walk through Northcliffe with me after school!
