Hold on Tight!

My blip for 3 February shows a tree in the garden that had blown down.

Today "The Men" came to saw it up and shred it. All well and good, and they have done a good job, as they have saved the shreddings for me to put on the borders to act as mulch.

I had to hold my breath as one of "The Men" leaned into this big commercial shredder, without switching it off, to clear a blockage.

In an episode of Taggart, many years ago, the villains disposed of a body by feeding it through one of these shredders; the person was identified by a single tooth that survived.
