Leftovers
We finally got round to celebrating Christmas with Sue after our Boxing Day lunch was cancelled because of Covid. We had hoped Prue would have been with us too but she has an eye infection that she felt was best kept to herself.
Our feast was a T-bone roast with blue cheese and brandy sauce, duchess potatoes with flaked almonds, asparagus tips, cauliflower and Yorkshire pudding. Sue made a Mexican chocolate flan but being uncertain about it's success, made a lemon curd pavlova to back it up. Both were delicious!
Positively stuffed, we sat under the shelter of the roof overhang as the rain started to fall and brought some welcome relief from the heat, while we shared our gifts.
It was so good being together again.
