Amazing!

Hummingbirds are among the smallest of birds, most measuring 3 - 5 inches. They hover in mid air by flapping their wings 18 - 20 times a second, and are known as hummingbirds because of the humming sound created by their beating wings. They are also the only group of birds with the ability to fly backwards, and can fly at speeds exceeding 34 miles per hour. Certain species of hummingbirds weigh less than a penny!

After the addition of a second feeder, we seem to have convinced the hummers to feed from them, close to our chairs on the patio. They do not seem bothered at all by our presence, and I love hearing them chirp and buzz as they flit about!
