Hibernating Harlequins

We moved the BBQ yesterday to try and take the basketball hoop off the outside wall and found a 'bloom' of ladybirds there.  (See extra).  I checked this morning and they were still there but when I came to take a photo for my blip later on I could only find three which was rather sad. 

Looking at the photo closely it seems they are incredibly variable in their spot patterns, just like little jewels.
