Sunset over Windermere.

Well I've done it. Late last night I made a last minute booking for a lovely hotel in Ambleside in the Lake District for 2 nights. It's been a while since I ventured up the M6 and it felt kind of strange passing old familiar landmarks but I pressed on and arrived safe. I can't believe the weather. There were clear blue skies when I checked in so I decided to stroll by the lake into the town just as the sun was setting. It looked stunning although its still very cold. I'm now running a bath and perusing my walking books before I head down into the restaurant for dinner. The menu looks amazing! :-))
