Orchard River

Felt very refreshed after todays bracing walk in rain, then sleet, then snow. Water gushing everywhere along ditches, dykes and the orchard above, which Id not seen before.

Given that our village is one of the highest local points in this part of the River Trent valley got me thinking about watertables and what journey this water had taken.
