The Trust

1. Mum's birthday lunch day and we make our way across town and stroll up to Holmwood House where we are meeting. We have planned the day round giving mum her National Trust membership here and it makes us all burst out laughing to discover it's shut.

2. The sun is out though and it feels like spring so we all walk together up the hill and down again.

3. Back in the gardens the birthday girl takes to climbing trees.

4. Off to the White Cart just past Busby for lunch. Honestly, if you are in the mood for one of those right good pub Sunday roasts, this is your place. The portions were ace.

5. Stunned by the amount of food I've packed away there's nowt to it but to have a wee lie down.
