A snowy wonderland
What a fabulous day today; icy cold but calm and bright. The snow had frozen overnight so when I ventured up Hampsfell I was crunching through an icy skin and sinking into about 4" (100mm) depth of snow. When I reached the ridge I realised that the valleys to the north were under a foggy cloak with Coniston Old Man proudly rising up above the cloud like a distant island. It's no problem being locked down on a day like today when I have this all on my back doorstep.
