Another local walk....

We headed up the dreaded hill from home again....(it's 1/2 milev and quite steep), then on towards the Devon and Somerset gliding club , which normally is a hive of activity. Onto Broadhembury one of the most picturesque Devon Village. (I think still ) owned by the Drew Estate, it's mainly thatched cottages all painted exactly the same.

As we'd walked over 5 miles, we bought a takeaway coffee and chocolate bar from The little post office.....didnt dare sit on the bench or stand still too long, fearful we might have been considered to be picnicing....!!!
Crossing the ford in the village, we headed up the hill past more cute cottages. The weather was perfect and we clocked just over 8 miles.....the book I got the walk out of said it was 6 1/2 miles!
