A happy day
Lockdown 3.0 Day #12
Despite the crappy weather it’s been a good day here. Mum called to say that not only was Dad booked in for his COVID vaccine, but she has also now been booked in straight after him next Thursday.
Brother called to say that the job he went for is now confirmed but that he is still looking and this week there has been a lot of interest in his CV that he had to update as some of his ongoing training was cancelled this month due to the lockdown. But by removing this it has created a lot of new hits as I guess it’s now at the top of a list! So he is very happy.
And finally, buoyed by my success of halving my breakdown insurance earlier in the week, I called Sky and have had our monthly TV/broadband costs cut by almost half as well. Shows how much over the odds we’ve been paying for ages!
Very little bird activity, so an emergency blip of a cross-stitch picture I did years ago seemed quite apt for today.
Oh, and maybe we have reached the peak of COVID cases here after another fall in cases today. Little chunks of light are visible in the distance I think. Always look on the bright side.
