Opening up

Many places may be shut but this amaryllis flower head is opening up.

Today’s sunshine increased the warmth indoors and I look forward to the blooms.

Despite the warnings of snow nothing materialised and I spent several hours raking the soil in the front garden breaking down the clumps and sods from the dug up grass. There was even a hint of warmth in the sunshine.
