Storm Christoph

A journey that is classified as essential under the present lockdown arrangements.

We are on the edge of the amber alert area for Storm Christoph, which is scheduled to last through till Thursday. It will no doubt be creating flooding issues, as the ground everywhere is saturated.

Our first leg was due south, and it’s clear that in that direction people are getting much better weather, for the time being at least. Returning home we even saw a sliver of blue sky. Home, and it’s heavy rain, interspersed with spells of light rain,

The motorways were not as quiet as we might have anticipated. Then again, it’s a working day out there for many people.
